    Overview:

     

    There are a variety of intersectional factors and social determinants of health that contribute to disparities in rheumatology care. Understanding them is the first step in finding solutions to overcome these issues. In this virtual meeting, experts in rheumatology care and leaders in health equity will explore the various factors contributing to racial, ethnic, and gender disparities in RA, psoriatic disease, axSpA, and LN such as:

    • Lack of diversity in clinical trials
    • Increased susceptibility to disease
    • Access to medical insurance
    • The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic
