Prospective registry assessing differences in comorbidities, disease activity and disease burden across geographic regions in RA patients

Study Rationale

Patients with RA often have multiple comorbidities

Employment, health care coverage, insurance plans varies amongst RA patients and by geography

Using AWIR’s Clinical reach, we seek to answer whether comorbidities also vary across geographical regions and practices in the US?

Comorbidities and other variables of disease burden can be captured from patient input while in the waiting room or via existing data from an electronic health record

Rheumatology Informatics System for Effectiveness (RISE) registry and AWIR RADB data

Study Rationale

Similar to the RISE registry, AWIR will collect and analyze data on socioeconomic status and patient outcomes in collaboration with the University of Alabama UAB Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacoeconomics Research (PEER) Unit.

PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS

Clinical Impact of Acthar in Psoriatic Arthritis Patients (CLIPS). NCT03419650.

An independent investigator study, at IRIS Research and Development with Dr. Kathy I. Perez and Dr. Guillermo J. Valenzuela, evaluating the efficacy of Acthar in PSA patients who had previously failed on non-biologic DMARDs.
